Important things to know about Columbiana County

• UNUSUAL: Columbiana County requires court APPROVAL before you can file a petition for dissolution. Contact DR at (330) 424-7777 for the approval procedure. Most Ohio counties let you file directly.
• Columbiana uses its own local Financial Affidavit (in place of OSC Affidavit 1) and its own local UCCJEA Custody Affidavit (in place of OSC Affidavit 3) — both linked from ccclerk.org.
• Two DR Magistrates (J. Bradley Allison and Lynsey Lyle-Opalenik) hear most contested matters.
• Local Companionship Schedules under Rules 9.4 (Uniform), 9.41 (Long Distance), and 9.42 (Transitional) govern parenting time by default unless the court orders otherwise.
• Juvenile Court is at a separate facility — the Charles A. Pike Juvenile Center, 260 West Lincoln Way, Lisbon.
