Filing for Dissolution in Clermont County, Ohio
Clermont County has one of the most detailed form systems in Ohio, with separate numbered language templates for every child support and health insurance scenario (Form 627-1 through 627-6 for child support, Form 628-1 through 628-3 for health insurance). The court also requires Compliance Officer approval BEFORE you can file with the Clerk — and the Clerk does not accept credit cards. Filing fees ($300 without children, $350 with) are deposits only; any overage must be paid before the final decree is signed.

Important things to know about Clermont County
- Court approval is required BEFORE filing — submit completed paperwork to the Compliance Officer first; the Clerk will not accept it until approved.
- Clermont uses a mix of Ohio Supreme Court 'SC' forms and its own numbered local forms (Form 115, 116-A, 605, 606, 627-series, 628-series, 702, 703, 704, 804, etc.).
- Child support and health insurance language must be picked from a numbered template (627-1 through 627-6, and 628-1 through 628-3) that matches your exact custody and insurance situation.
- Filing fees are deposits — if costs exceed the deposit, the balance must be paid before the final decree is filed.
- No credit cards accepted by the Clerk — cash, check, or money order only.
- Compliance Officer will review your paperwork but cannot help you fill it out.
