The Expectations

Two things: treat your clients with respect, and do the work the case requires. What we don't do: minimum billable hours (none; running up a retainer is not the goal, good work is) and minimum caseload (that is up to you, and only you; take the cases you want and can reasonably handle).

Real Numbers

Our Of Counsel attorneys are projected to earn between $18,000 and $120,000 in 2026. The spread tracks your comfort level and the caseload you accept, not a quota. Projection based on current Of Counsel caseloads and 2026 fee schedules; individual results vary and are not guaranteed.

What We Look For

Of Counsel attorneys

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio, in good standing
• At least two years of Ohio family-law experience
• Strong courtroom and negotiation instincts
• Compassion for clients and commitment to transparent, ethical practice

Paralegal / Legal Support

• At least one year supporting a family-law practice or attorneys
• Excellent client-facing skills
• Organization, time management, and self-direction
• Available at least three weekdays a week, 9 to 5; no weekends
• Based in Ohio; contractor role, $20–$26 per hour based on experience, no benefits
