About Brittany Luarde

Brittany Luarde is an Of Counsel attorney with Gavvl Law and an Ohio trial attorney who focuses her practice on family law, juvenile court, and child-centered litigation. A 2012 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, admitted to the Ohio bar in 2013, Brittany brings more than 13 years of legal experience to the families she represents.
For more than six years, Brittany has been in daily courtroom practice in the Lorain County, Cuyahoga County, and surrounding counties' Domestic Relations and Juvenile Courts. That day-in, day-out presence means she knows how these courts actually run — the magistrates, the local procedures, and the practical expectations that shape how a custody or juvenile matter unfolds.
Brittany represents parents, grandparents, and caregivers in private custody disputes, Children Services (CPS) defense, juvenile delinquency matters, divorce, and related proceedings. Much of her work sits at the intersection of family and juvenile law, where a child's safety, stability, and relationships with the adults in their life are the central questions.
Brittany also serves as a guardian ad litem, the court-appointed role charged with investigating and reporting on a child's best interests. That experience gives her an uncommon view of custody litigation from both sides of the courtroom: she understands what a guardian ad litem looks for, how courts weigh those reports, and how to present a parent's or caregiver's case accordingly.
As part of Gavvl Law, Brittany serves families in the Cleveland metro and across Ohio's 88 counties. To discuss a custody, juvenile, Children Services, or divorce matter, schedule a consultation with the firm.
