Why Monroe County is different
One courthouse, two doors
Monroe County has no standalone Domestic Relations court. Married spouses file divorce, dissolution, legal separation, and annulment with the Clerk of Courts in the General Division (Room 26). Never-married parents take custody, parentage, and parenting-time cases to the combined Probate/Juvenile Division (Room 39, Hon. James W. Peters). Both sit at 101 North Main Street in Woodsfield. Blue ink and a standing visitation schedule
Local Rule IV requires original signatures in blue ink, and Local Rule XXVIII makes the county's Standard Visitation Schedule the default parenting-time order unless the parents agree to a different plan the court approves.
