- Butler County does not publish its Domestic Relations divorce and dissolution deposits in a fixed schedule — confirm the current filing deposit with the Clerk of Courts before you file.
- Never-married parents file for custody, parenting time, support, and paternity in the Juvenile Court; the Juvenile complaint fee is $165 plus a $50 service fee.
- Every Domestic Relations filing must first go through the court's Case Management Office for review before it is filed with the Clerk (Domestic Relations Local Rule 1).
- Both parents must complete the "Helping Children Succeed after Divorce" class; the filing party schedules within 15 days of filing and the other parent within 15 days of service (Local Rule 5).

Everything goes through Case Management first
In Butler County every Domestic Relations document is reviewed by the court's Case Management Office before it is filed with the Clerk.
